Notes:
Paraguay is still suffering from political instability after a corrupt dictatorship that began in 1954 and ended in 1989 when Alfredo Stroessner was overthrown.

Widespread corruption exists within this nation, including smuggling, money laundering, and organized crime.

As much as 60% of the population lives in poverty.

Prayer:
Within the church there currently exists superstitious traditionalism and occult related bondage that is keeping millions from experiencing liberty in the Lord. Pray that this power would be broken and that members of the church would know and live out their freedom in Christ.

Missionary help is needed – especially in the areas of church planting, leadership training, and Bible translation. Paraguay is in need of its first true spiritual awakening. Pray that Paraguayans would begin to see themselves as responsible for the evangelization of their own country.

Pray that they would have the vision to see and believe God for a transformation in their nation.

A lack of strong moral leadership has hindered this country’s progress. Pray for godly men to be raised up in the government.

Pray that spiritual leaders would set a godly example based on the authority of scripture in holy living, prayer, accurate use of scripture and bold evangelism.
